Meningitis

1.Meningitis is the inflammation of the protective membranes (meninges) surrounding the brain and spinal cord.

2. It can be caused by various factors, including infections (bacterial, viral, fungal, or parasitic), certain medications, or underlying health conditions. 

3.Bacterial and viral infections are the most common causes of meningitis.

4.it is caused neisseria meningitis  and it is member of entero-bacteriaeceae family.

5.Meninges is a outer protective cover. it contain three layer payamatter dura matter and arachnoid.

6.test is done with collection of csf because csf present in meninges and csf collect from between L3 or L4.site of vertebral column .
