Eye care tips
In today’s fast and sedentary lifestyle , we often neglect our eyes. A good and healthy vision is a part of one’s life and it is necessary to take good care of our eyes to prevent early vision loss. Here are some few tips that we should keep in mind :-
1. Good and balanced diet :- Diet should include foods rich in Vitamin A like carrot , spinach, eggs, milk, etc….
2. Drink plenty of water :- Drinking plenty of water is very important because dehydration can affect your eyes, cause dryness and initiate tear loss problems.
3. Do regular eye checkup :- We Indians neglect regular eye checks and it is of utmost importance to get eye checked at regular intervals for any unseen circumstances.
4. Wear sunglasses :- Wearing sunglasses when out in scorching sunlight is a must. We can keep our eyes protected from dust particles and harmful UV rays of the sun.
5. Reduce your screen time :- Watching screen for prolonged hours can destroy your eyes. One should either reduce the screen time, or take breaks or can wear protective glasses.
6. Use perfectly lit environment :- Don’t study in dim light. Always study or read books in perfectly lit environment. Poor light can destroy vision.
7. Do eye excercises :- Simple eye excercises like eyeball movements can increase circulation of blood in our retina and help retain healthy eyes.
8. Wash your eyes regularly :- Wash eyes at least twice daily with plain water to keep your eyes moist and clean.
9. Good sleep :- Take a minimum sleep of 7 hours. Resting can help maintain good vision and refreshen our eyes.
10. Hygenic lifestyle :- Avoid eating junk and unhealthy food that is readily available outside in the market. Instead take good and balanced diet rich in Retinol.
